“The house was exactly as photographed. Beautiful inside and out. The wall facing the coast opens up completely for a great view of the ocean and other islands. To say it is breathtaking does not do it justice. You can see almost 20 miles. We were 5 minutes from one of the best beaches (we visited 8 of them) on St Thomas. Smith Bay. The amenities in the house are great. Everything we needed we found at the house. Coolers of varying sizes, snorkel gear, fishing rods, beach chairs, beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. From cookware to a rack of spices. We grilled steak and chicken on the gas grill outside and fixed the salads and veggies on the stove inside. The open kitchen made it easy to have more than one cook in the kitchen. We only saw one car on our road the entire week, it was very quiet. Tutu is a town about 15 minutes away and has a huge warehouse grocery store and all the chain stores you might expect. Red Hook is 10 minutes the other direction and we caught the ferry over to St John’s from there. Red Hook had several restaurants and stores worth visiting for both gifts and sundries. One item this house has that others we saw did not. A generator. Once in a while the power will go off in the USVI and may be out for a couple hours. We had that happen on our last trip. Sure enough it happened this trip. The power went off in the early morning and the generator auto started within a second. I could hear a low level hum as I fell back asleep. The AC continued to run as if nothing happened.:) Sue was in contact with me from prior to the trip to the end. Insuring every step was covered. Sue was a great host, she was available at all hours and days for even the most mundane questions I asked. We had great cell service with AT&T so we could text back and forth as needed anywhere on the islands.”
